When I volunteer at the Palm Beach Children's Hospital at St Mary's and I see the smiles they bring. Our chapter created 1,449 pillowcases for the September MOPS challenge. That is an awesome number of smiles.
Where do I start and how do I begin to thank every one of you that contributed to our chapter September MOPS events? So many of you did so much that I wish I could somehow make sure you understand what a big difference you are making in the hospital stay of the children that receive these. I can only promise you that you are making a huge difference! I can promise you that because I get to hand them out each week when I volunteer at the Palm Beach Children's Hospital at St Mary's and I see the smiles they bring. Our chapter created 1,449 pillowcases for the September MOPS challenge. That is an awesome number of smiles. I thank you and each and every child that receives one of these thanks you.
Just for fun I wanted to show you our mascot in the Canada Our pillowcases are used on the mattress in the NICU to brighten things up for both the parents and the nurses! They love them. part of our chapter. Riley has been at every Shediac ConKerr Cancer event and we actually wear him out with all our energy.
Just wanted to let you know that your beautiful pink pillow case really cheered up my 8 year old daughter Sara this week at the Moncton City Hospital. We went in on Sunday and Monday she has her appendix out but had complications after and we just got out yesterday afternoon, it was her first time in the hospital and she loves her new pillow case. Thanks again Jodi Nelson
My son has been in the hospital for almost a week now, and it has been a rough ride. Last night after a very difficult blood draw, he was given one of your pillowcases. It is amazing what a little thing can do to make a huge difference. He loves his spiderman pillowcase and is so excited that he will get to take it home.
Thank you for your meaningful sacrifice and service.
Dear Marilyn & the very talented, creative seamstresses of the ConKerr Cancer Team,
We are always so excited to receive the new batches of colorful, thematic, beautifully created and made pillowcases for our patients. I know you spend a lot of time, dedication, and probably aching fingers in their creation and I want to remind you that all of that hard work is really worth it. The look on the cute recipients faces makes me happy all day. We look forward to your gifts in the future. Please be assured that your generous donation will directly benefit the children and their families of Palm Beach Children’s Hospital.
